A6/S6 Roof Racks for sale (2005-2011)

I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0.  I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak.  They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

Hello All,

I am currently looking at extended warranties for a 2009 Audi Q5 Prestige with Audi Drive Select and S-Line package and 78k miles. Is there a company out there from my Audi owners that you would recommend that has covered everything that you have wanted. I find that all these companies out there provide roughly the same on the bigger items but really begin to differ when it comes to smaller parts that I am not sure how important they are. Is it safe to assume that it the part is not listed in the warranty that the company won't cover it?

I live in Tallahassee, FL but I have visited the Audi in Knoxville (driving up to Canada for vacation) and they quoted me 3yrs/36k miles from CNA Mechanical Advantage Care from Z series for roughly $4200 which was their top of line package. Deductible was $250.00

My local Volkswagen dealership offered a company called Protective. There coverage just from looking at it looks less than the CNA. It would be for 3yrs/36k miles and has a $100.00 deductible for $2700. They wouldn't even inspect the car prior to purchase, I am not sure if that is a good thing or not...

Our local credit union who we financed the car from uses a company called CUNA Members Choice Mechanical Repair Coverage. They would offer 3yrs/36k miles for 3500 with a $250.00 deductible.

If anybody has any guidance on what types of warranties you have used that you feel are really good and provide good coverage. I just cannot find a good website that discusses different warranty companies.

Thanks for your help!

Alex,

I have an 03' RS6...now with 84K miles..at the time of Extended Warranty Audi Policies were way to expensive.  I'm with Royal Administration Services through Carchex.  The car had 72K on it and the Policy has $100 Deductible, 36 Mth, 36K Miles and was $3,142. Carchex has been a pleasure to deal with and Coral Springs Audi hasn't had a big issue with RAS.  Either the item is on their list or it's not covered...but there Shop Rate is a bit lower than my Dealership Charges and they work with me on it.  I feel it's been better than the previous Audi Policy I had.  The Current Policy Expires 7/14.

Now the GOOD NEWS...my RS6 is For Sale as I am No. 1 at Coral Springs Audi for receiving my NEW RS7 sometime later this year!!!!!.....:-)  Any ideas best place to sell my RS6?

Hope this helps!

One of our members has a 2006 A3 and reports she has made back the money on her extended warranty several times over. That policy was a lot cheaper than for your RS6.. I am recalling something more like $900.

Congrats on your RS7 order! You should send a description and photos of your RS6 to Bob Greving <bob@auduiclubfl.org> for the newsletter, and you can post it to the classified thread on the forum here.. I will add it to the classified page as well. Beyond that I suggest you post to the Audiworld and Audizine classifieds. You can put a classified in the quattro quaterly too, but I am not sure who you contact for that.

My memory was defective - the A3 owner says the Audi quote was more like $3500, and the non-Audi quote ended up around $1500, so she decided not to buy either.
