A6/S6 Roof Racks for sale (2005-2011)

I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0.  I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak.  They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

After seven years of adventure, adjustment, a lot of hard work and certainly some fun added in for good measure, Andreas Baensch is now back in Ingolstadt and working at his new assignment for Audi plus on occasion, now able to enjoy a real Leberkäse sandwich. A few may recall Andreas participating in our first meet of the Gulf Coast Chapter, that was just for starters and it went on from there. He was on our interim Board of Directors, and then when we finally created By-Laws, served on our first BoD where he has remained ever since. Whether hosting meets at the technical center, helping to organize Sebring corrals, representing our chapter by attending a number of races including the 24 Hours of Daytona, ALM races both in Georgia and then one in Texas, or even selling raffle tickets, he has been there as an ambassador and working for the club.

Andreas’s can do, no problem, willing to chip in and help attitude, plus his uniquely Audi centric view, has been a critical factor in both steering and helping to bring the club to where it is now. He will remain on the BoD through the end of his term and though not able to physically attend meetings his reports, insights and suggestions from the “Land of the Four Rings” will continue to be of help and guidance. I am sure we will be looking forward to an occasional “Bericht aus Ingolstadt” report from Ingolstadt. On behalf of the members of the Audi Club of Florida and fellow Board of Director members, a sincere and heartfelt thank you Andreas for your help, support and guidance, as we wish you all the best with your continued endeavors at Audi AG.

Cheers,
Bob Greving

The website Curbside Classic brings us a loving portrait of the fwd DKW sedans that evolved into the first modern Audis in the 1960s, with a trip to the 1920s and a blue-smoke hazed video of a restored DKW zipping down the highways in Washington state.

July - record sales for Audi (again)

There's a movie coming out about what happens to a High School Football team after a record winning-streak ends. Audi is apparently not yet ready to start their version of the script, as we're at month 43 of record sales

"Due to the sustained high demand for our Premium cars, we needed to move our 2015 model year release ahead of schedule as supply became available early July,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “That gives us tremendous confidence heading into the second half of the year with the new Audi A3 Cabriolet, A3 Sedan TDI and the S3 performance model reaching showrooms within weeks, and the new Q3 crossover arriving later this fall.”

If you have a special Audi such as one of the S or RS models or a pre 2000 that you would like to sell, we will list it once in the newsletter. I will need the year, model, color over interior color, and your email address. Longer and non-member postings can be placed in the website. We will also list DKW, NSU, and Wanderer motorcycles. If you are looking for a particular car, once again S, RS or pre 2000 model plus a bike, we will also try to accommodate you here.

For Example: Wanted: Wanderer or DKW motorcycle of motorbike pre 1950 walter@audiclubfl.org

You can also use the Classifieds Forum on the Audi Club of Florida web site.

Final Words..

Welcome to our new ACNA members. Our membership numbers continue to grow; we are now well over 270 members, which mean additional critical mass in different regions of the state and hopefully more events and greater participation. Those of you who are new to the ACNA will receive an on boarding note from David Loppert. If you have any questions feel free to drop a line to David. If you have not had a chance yet check out both the ACNA website, and the Audi Club of Florida website. There is a great deal of good information plus some excellent photos of member’s cars.
