A6/S6 Roof Racks for sale (2005-2011)

I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0.  I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak.  They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

12 Hours of Sebring

As of this writing, I have been told that the ticketing process will commence shortly. Recently, Pete and I took a road trip to Sebring, checked out the motorsport venue, and made recommendations to Andy regarding sprucing up some of the areas. There were no Audis on track that day as they had completed Sebring testing earlier in the month. Audi will run a field of three cars at Sebring. The hybrids will make their debut in Europe.

We are also in the process of designing and having available for purchase polo shirts for attendees of the 12 Hours of Sebring Audi motorsport experience. One will be able to purchase them on line along with your tickets. At this point, there will be no sales at the track, only the delivery of you order.

Finally, we are looking for an older Audi, Wanderer, NSU, DKW or Horch to lead the Audi Sebring parade lap of a "History of Progress" Should you be the coveted owner of a Wanderer, NSU or DKW motorcycle that would be the icing on the cake. Please drop me a line at bob@audiclubfl.org if you can help on this one.

New and Interesting Information

Web Site

Walter Moore has kindly agreed to run point on the following. This will significantly improve the communications lines from the chapter to not just ACNA Florida members but to Audi enthusiasts in the Sunshine State. Thank you Walter and if you have a question or would like to lend some assistance, he can be reached at moorewr@gmail.com

The National organization has offered its assistance to rebuild and host the Florida web site. In addition to access to their programming resources, this will provide the "Audi look," and feel in navigating the site and include updated "official" club logos. Much of this will be on the Suzuka Grey backgrounds found on the AoA and AG sites.

You can see an example of the new look on the ACNA National club page: http://www.audiclubna.org/

Social Media

We are discussing how (and whether) the club can use social media to provide you with information and provide members’ an easier means of contacting each other. We are interested in your ideas. Also, as a first step we have created a Facebook group for anyone interested to join:

Audi RS6 for Sale

This will be the second time there has been a listing of an important iteration of the brand and this one has just come on to the market. The listing service is provided to ACNA members who wish to divest themselves of significant Audi models, keep them in the Audi community and to make sure they go to a good home. Included in this group are any pre 1990 Audis, DKW's Wanderers, NSU's plus DKW, NSU and Wanderer motorcycles, and of course S, RS, TTS and now TTRS models. Unfortunately, S Line models do not count.

2004 RS6, Silver on Black interior. This is a one-owner car with approximately 26K on the clock. (Not sure, this car has even been broken in yet). Car's service and tuning records are available. For additional details on this car, contact Dr Todd Behrman at
DrDad94@aol.com.  Please make sure that you mention RS6 in the subject line of your email inquiry to Todd.

 Audi Club of Florida Logo

There has been a lot of discussion regarding chapter logos; we had to change ours last year and now that there have been additional guidelines it has been changed again. As the copyright emblem of Audi's four rings cannot be altered, the use of the oranges was no longer acceptable. We may just have to run a silent auction at Sebring for some of the now "historically significant" four orange-ringed banners and official car magnetic signs. In addition, Trish Keller at tkeller@chsmedical.com has a few polo shirts with last years various Sebring's logo iterations. Contact her for sizes and pricing.

And now for a little fun

Welcome

To those of you, who just joined the ACNA, welcome. In addition to the camaraderie, as most should know by now, there are numerous benefits from membership including the club loyalty program, which is worth $500 upon the purchase of a new, or CPO'ed Audi (see
http://www.audiclubna.org/ for details). Another benefit is the $50 discount in the cost for a pass to the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. If you have any questions, drop me a line at bob@audiclubfl.org.

Finally, this newsletter is being sent out on the Gmail account. Please use the bob@audiclubfl.org address for any correspondence, thanks.

Cheers and Safe Motoring,
