If you are interested in a ticket to Audi Turn One at Sebring and are not already on the Audi Motorsport Experience mailing list, see Down the Road below. In addition to discussing and adding a few more events and as yet to be finalized, one thing we are looking at is the procuring of a couple dozen side mirror socks in the German national colors. Johan Aerts -- Audi Club of Belgium & Audi Club of Florida -- The 1981 Group 4 Rally Quattro
Discovering the history and the character of Audi Sport rally and racing vehicles is a fascinating process. Restoring or recreating these cars is a passion for me. Because we were looking to celebrate the 35 years of the rally Quattro. We recently built a historic specification Group 4 rally Quattro, which shall be finished in a correct period livery of the 1981 Lombard RAC rally.
We are currently finishing the car. No expense was spared. The body shell was based on a road legal urquattro and modified to rally specification, FIA-compliant. We fitted all the correct mechanics, suspension and a screaming 5 cylinder turbo engine with 300 hp. The car will be registered in Belgium and will be ready in a couple of weeks to participate in historical road rallying events. Believe me, can’t wait to learn & master this baby very shortly. Do what you love, invest in Audi heritage!

Audi A6, A7, S4, S5, Q7, Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid Recalled For Fire Risk NHTSA says that general wear on the fuel rails and seals, paired with vibration of the vehicle that can occur while driving aggressively or on rough roads, can cause those components to fail, resulting in a fuel leak. And when there's a fuel leak, there's almost always an increased risk of fire.
The recall affects the following makes and models:
2012 Audi A6 2012-2013 Audi A7 2011-2012 Audi S4 2011-2012 Audi S5 2011-2012 Audi Q7 2012 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid The recall affects 26,008 vehicles registered in the U.S. Volkswagen has received no reports of accident or injuries related to the problem, though several owners have complained about a fuel smell in the engine compartment. https://autos.yahoo.com/news/audi-a6-a7-s4-s5-144647676.html Audi Deutschland's Year in Review Video It's been quite a year for Audi. Some of this is in German but you will definitely get the gist.

Have a picture of your car or some Audi-related news of your own you'd like to share? Send your photo to Walter Moore walter@audiclubfl.org.
If you have a special Audi such as one of the S or RS models or a pre 2000 that you would like to sell, we will list it once in the newsletter. I will need the year, model, color over interior color, and your email address. Longer and non-member postings can be placed in the website. We will also list DKW, NSU, and Wanderer motorcycles. If you are looking for a particular car, once again S, RS or pre 2000 model plus a bike, we will also try to accommodate you here.
For Example: Wanted: Wanderer or DKW motorcycle of motorbike pre 1950 walter@audiclubfl.org

Final Words..
Welcome to our new ACNA members. Our membership numbers continue to grow; we are now well over 270 members, which mean additional critical mass in different regions of the state and hopefully more events and greater participation. Those of you who are new to the ACNA will receive an on boarding note from David Loppert. If you have any questions feel free to drop a line to David. If you have not had a chance yet check out both the ACNA website, and the Audi Club of Florida website. There is a great deal of good information plus some excellent photos of member’s cars. And.. thank you to our sponsors!
