I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0. I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak. They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

What is Happening
Mark the date, April 2nd, for the fourth event in the on again off again series of "One Green Lap of the Sunshine State". This time the MPG rally will start after breakfast with cars off at 8:30 sharp from the Audi South Orlando point and finish at the Audi Clearwater point, numerous classes for different engines and vehicles, breakfast and registration starting 7:00 AM with lunch at the finish, over $1300 in Audi store certificates to be shared amongst the winning class teams, Trip-Tiks provided by AAA and the list goes on. For the younger participants, the ever popular "Kinder Rally" will also be run giving them an opportunity to test their skills in observation answering questions regarding things that are passed on route. For the adults who would like to take a try there will also be the "Who is smarter than a fifth grader" competition. So reserve the date, keep your engine's tuned and tires inflated as registration and additional information will be coming out shortly. bob@audiclubfl.org
BTW, the route was recently mapped in a Q5 3.0 TDI, with 80K on the clock. That vehicle achieved 42 MPG at an average speed of 41 MPH according to its MMI. The vehicle did not have paddle shifters, driven with the flow of traffic and was not hypermileaged (early upshifts etc.)
Word has it the boys in Jax have been hitting the Schnitzelhaus fairly regularly, it must be good. perhaps we should try to arrange a drive up to Jax one Friday PM, have another tour of the Audi distribution center, perhaps 3:00 PM, finish around 5:00 PM then head over for a little Gemütlichkeit. If that sounds like a plan, please drop Kerry a note at greenkerry@att.net ASAP and if we can get enough critical mass, I will contact Kirk and see if we can get another tour. We took a tour about three or four years ago and I must say it was well worth it and gave all a greater appreciation about the entire process of getting required parts to the dealership for repairing our cars.
We had a good turn out for both the Roar and the tour of the new Audi Clearwater facility and lunch at the Hofbrauhaus. Thanks to the boys at Clearwater and Curt for their hospitality. I would say the Hofbrauhaus would be a repeat for lunch in the Biergarten on a Saturday or perhaps on a Tuesday evening when they have BOGO on the schnitzel.
