A6/S6 Roof Racks for sale (2005-2011)

I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0.  I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak.  They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

Audi Club of Florida Newsletter for Nov. - Drive Into the Night of Lights

November Newsletter

November marks our major driving event of the year. ACFL chapter members and enthusiasts starting from multiple locations in the Sunshine State, will meet for lunch in Daytona then proceed on to St Augustine for our “Drive into the Night of Lights” If you plan to participate, I would strongly suggest that you make your reservations at a hotel/motel/B&B of choice for that evening. Participants will be able to pre-register for the event by sending a check made out to the Audi Club of Florida for $20 and please include a note with the number adults in your party attending plus any children, with their names and ages. We want to make sure that we have appropriate SWAG for them. Last chance to mail in your registration is Monday November 12.

December will see some of us stretching our Audi legs at Daytona while others will be participating at the combined Cars and Coffee and Toys for Tots at Reeves Motorsport or Cars and Coffee at Suncoast Audi.

At this point plans are in the works for a Car Detail and Bodywork presentation at Superior Auto Body in St Pete, our annual luncheon on the beach at Woody’s on Blind Pass, St Pete Beach and of course, the trip to Buddy Freddy’s for some of their dietetic apple cobbler amongst other items.

November 17
Drive into the St Augustine “Night of Lights” bob@audiclubfl.org

Groups will gather at various starting locations across the state then around 12:30-1:00PM converge at the Cracker Barrel at 2325 W. International Speedway Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL 3211 for a quick lunch. After lunch, there are many options available. Some can join one group who plan visiting the Angell & Phelps chocolate factory for a free tour and samples. Others may wish to head on up to St Augustine for a visit to a popular Florida attraction, the Alligator Farm or check out the always interesting and bizarre Ripley’s Believe it or Not . These are but three Old Florida’s attractions and traditions that seem able to survive. Make sure you check on line for discount coupons at Ripley’s and the farm.

Then some may just wish to spend an afternoon on their own sight seeing, exploring, and early Christmas shopping in one of the first cities in the New World. At 5:45PM we will all meet up again for supper at Barnacle Bill’s ; 14 W. Castillo Dr. St. Augustine, FL with nothing special planned except some good eats, camaraderie and of course some early Christmas gifts, courtesy of Kirk Preiser and the chapter. Father Christmas has assured me that all have been on their best behavior this year or at least tried (I am in the tried column) and there will be no lumps of coal or bundles of faggots in your shoes or fireplace stockings. In addition, the restaurant provides a children’s menu. All once again will be on their own after supper to stroll this historic city and enjoy the “Night of Lights” or head home. For those who stay the evening, perhaps on the 18th, we can add an early morning group photo in front of the historic Castillo de San Marco prior to the trip home.

Please mail registration fee of $20.00 along with your email address and phone number to Audi Club of Florida, C/O Bob Greving PO Box 66156 St Pete Beach, Florida 33706

And Now to the Numbers

Audi had another record-breaking month as sales continue on a very strong pace. Unfortunately and this was in part due to some very aggressive sales promotions directed to those who were present BMW owners and were in the market to replace their car, they had their first stellar sales report in months. Nevertheless, they bought the business with marketing dollars. Here are links to Audi and BMW’s monthly sales report:

From time to time, interesting and rare Audis come on to the market. As a service to our ACNA members and in the hopes of keeping these significant vehicles within the circle of folks who appreciate them, they, will be listed.
