I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0.  I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak.  They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

Audi Club of Florida Members and Fellow Audi Enthusiasts

It may not look like there is much in common in the subject line, but for participants of the Audi Club of Florida’s “True North to Savannah” Heritage Run May 17-19, all will be in abundance while we weave delight into the details. As folks from across the Sunshine State gather Friday after our private tour of Audi’s distribution center in Jacksonville, it will be off for some local seafood with a view of the St John’s at Singleton’s Seafood Shack in Mayport.

The following morning after a planned photo op on shores of the St Johns, we head north to cross the river on the Mayport Ferry , drive under the ancient oaks and Spanish moss on Amelia Island and arrive at the Port of Brunswick, GA . Work continues on the confirmation for a tour of the RoRo (Roll on Roll off) facility where our Audis first touched solid ground again after their North Atlantic cruise from Emden. Then on to Savannah, we will be arriving before noon with all on their own for an afternoon of exploration and adventure in the setting of “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.”

Around 5:00 PM, we will regroup and be on our way for a 6:00 PM diner date at Cahill’s Chicken Kitchen. The evenings drive will take us across Tallmadge Memorial Bridge and the Savannah River, then we will continue the Lowcountry drive for about 30 miles through a short part of the Gullah Heritage Corridor arriving in Bluffton, SC. Cahill’s restaurant/market could have been the inspiration and business model for Cracker Barrel only it is better, much better. They serve primarily Lowcountry cooking (comfort food) including numerous Southern style cooked veggies, most of them grown and freshly picked from just over their split rail fence.
