I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0. I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak. They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

Do someone from Miami area plan to attend to the event at Daytona? I would like information about round-trip auto transport to the racetrack. Thank you. Continue

For those lucky few who were able to score tickets, the Rolex 24 Hours Audi Sport Customer racing experience was once again over the top. The venue, cuisine, hot pit tours, hot laps, swag, individuals of note interviews and the list goes on, were what we have come to expect, and almost take for granted. In fact, it was just one more example of a consistently delivered Audi Erste Klasse (First Class) experience. The “Double A Team” of Andrea and Andy certainly delivered on the experiential side of the ledger. Under the leadership of Dr Ulrich and Brad Kettler two of the four GT teams and drivers were able to deliver a hard-fought one, two class victories. It would have been a full Audi podium had their been a couple more of those Oktober Fest sized steins filled to the brim with petrol in the tank of the Rum Bums’ R8. I hope that as the demand continues to increase additional venue space can be procured with perhaps some infield facilities to allow for additional club and general Audi owner participation. All would be just one more facet of Kundenbegeisterung, (Kb), loosely translated as customer delight. Though I do not have the total ticket numbers, I was told that 40 or so were made available to Audi enthusiasts including ACFL members. These sold out in less than 10 minutes. As the sun sets on the orange groves surrounding Audi’s forays at Sebring, Daytona has marked the start of a new dawn. Those who were there will recall this one was a damned foggy day break, with a pit lane no longer visible from the suite. Apollo’s chariot with a little help of additional chariots out of Neckarsulm consisting of four R8 racecars and a R8 pace car nevertheless burnt it off. No word on Sebring yet but if you have an interest make sure that you contact Andy Sattler and let him know. All announcements will be channeled through him. February 2nd will see another round of Cars and Coffee at Reeves and Suncoast then the BoD meeting at Buddy Freddy’s on Saturday February 23. Among topics to be discussed will be the recently completed survey and some of the initiatives, which will be realized from the respondents’ feedback. We continue to work on a Citrus Region in the Orlando area, which will coincide, with the new Audi dealership. As things develop, we will post here and ACNA members in the region can expect separate emails. If you have, an interest in helping getting things organized and off the ground, drop either mebob@audiclubfl.org or Pat patalexander@msn.com a line. As more exciting product comes out of Ingolstadt and the Kbinitiative gathers momentum, the experience of owning and driving an Audi will continue to get better. Welcome to our new ACNA members. If you have, any questions feel free to drop me a line atbob@audiclubfl.org. I also suggest that if you have not had a chance yet check out both the ACNA websitehttp://www.audiclubna.org/, and the Audi Club of Florida website http://www.audiclubfl.org/. There is a great deal of good information to be gleaned from both sites. If you have a little time on your hands click on the following http://tv.audi.com/#/05 and go to the Life and style TV vignettes. All are both interesting and informative including drives and cultural events organized and or sponsored by Audi. Check out the tour of Tuscany in the Q3. Could a four-door hatch that can sprint 0 to 62 in 3.9 seconds be a halo car? Read and you can decide. Finally, a little bit of trivia from the home of Audi. There have been many things launched in Ingolstadt, including Bavaria’s first medical school before there was a Germany as we now know it. Also, of course, many different Audis and this from 1942: transported on the autobahn from Kiel and launched into the Donau on its way into service in the Black Sea.
