A6/S6 Roof Racks for sale (2005-2011)

I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0.  I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak.  They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

Tampa Bay Automobile Museum

ACFL members, Audi fans and those who enjoy being around antique cars,

Join us at 10:00 AM on Saturday September 12, as we hold a special monthly meeting at the Tampa Bay Auto Museum at 3301 Gateway Centre Blvd, Pinellas Park 33782.

There will be many technically significant and one of a kind vehicles to view in this important collection including two Audi Cabriolets from the 1930’s, a DKW Meister Klass and a NSU Ro80. We will be serving Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cakes). Admission to the museum will be at the reduced group rate of $5.00 per person. For additional information regarding the museum and the collection, please check out http://www.tbauto.org/. Some may remember that we held a 100th birthday party for Audi in 2009 at this venue. There are now a number of new examples of automotive engineering achievements in the collection.

Please RSVP by noon September 11th to bob@audiclubfl.org in order that we can insure sufficient refreshments. We are looking forward to having you join us at this exciting event and of course kids of all ages are welcome

HelenBack 2015 with the Audi Club of Georgia

Members Kim and Trish Keller attended Audi Club of Georgia's HelenBack driving weekend in Helen, Georgia, and send us their impressions:

Audi Club of Georgia did it again! They upped the ante on their annual HelenBack drive by turning it into a 2-day event. And it was a great event! Kim and I drove our 2015 Allroad (Grace) up from Rockledge, stopping in Savannah and enjoying our favorite haunts before diving into Georgia’s secondary roads for the second half of the journey to Helen. Once there, we were pleasantly surprised to find Frank and Mary Sue Oliver in their S4.

Our drive Saturday left in two groups of about 15 cars each, and drove –with great gusto - about 90 miles of fabulous twisties through the north Georgia mountains with a stop for lunch. Saturday night there was a banquet at Hofer’s of Helen, hosted by Audi Atlanta (the schnitzel and Oktoberfest beer was very good). Audi Atlanta has proven to be a model partner to ACNA.

Sunday morning a group of 12 met for lunch at Mully’s Nancoochee Grill and then on to three wineries—Habersham, Sautee Nacoochee, and Yonah Mountain (Mully sent us). Bob, the owner of Yonah came out and talked with us—he has sons with a Q5 and Q7, his wife has a TTRS, he owns a Tesla and is ready to purchase an Audi! By early evening our GA friends were headed home. Kim and I extended our driving holiday to Monday and drove out to Brasstown Bald (fogged in, but still the highest mountain in Georgia), and Anna Ruby Falls—beautiful. We stopped in Savannah for the night. Awesome mini vacation!

Bonus—with the APR Stage 1, our fuel economy was the best ever—from Helen to Savannah (using passing zones to their full advantage) we got 28 mpg. And Savannah to home on 95 we got 30.9 mpg while averaging, well, something north of 70.

Motor racing-Audi fined 200,000 euros for planned collision
http://in.reuters.com/article/2015/08/26/motorracing-dtm-fine-idINL...

Aug 26 Audi have been fined 200,000 euros ($228,000) and their motor sports chief has been banned from the DTM (German Touring Cars) garages until the end of the season after he urged his driver Timo Scheider to cause a collision, the German motor sports federation court ruled on Wednesday.

Scheider, who has to sit out the series' next race in Russia starting in two days, was ordered by Wolfgang Ullrich during the race in Spielberg to push a rival driving a Mercedes out of the way which he did, forcing two vehicles out of the race.

"Timo push him out," Ullrich is heard saying. The motor sports chief has also been banned from using the team radio and Audi lose the 62 points gained in that race, the court said.

Some telling headlines about the direction of European Sportscar design:

Next-gen BMW M3 Will Be All-Wheel Drive Plug-in Hybrid
http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2015/08/report-next-gen-bmw-m3-wil...

"According to the report, the rear wheels would be driven by the gasoline engine, which could be the M3’s current boosted six — or even perhaps an ultra-potent four. Up front, one or two electric motors could power the forward wheels. Eisenstein’s story points out that by using tandem electric motors, the M3 would have baked-in torque vectoring that engineers could exploit for handling performance."

quattro GmbH Boss Killing Manuals and Adding SUVs & EVs Says Meiners
http://fourtitude.com/news/audi-rumors-renders-spy-photos/quattro-g...

"The German auto journalist has filed two reports, one in Car & Driver and one in Automotive News, suggesting quattro GmbH boss Heinz Hollerweger confirmed rumors like the death of the manual transmission, more differentiation, more SUVs and EVs from quattro GmbH."

Timothy Smith shares a stunning photo of his A4 Avant:

If you are looking for a particular car, once again S, RS or pre 2000 model plus a bike, we will also try to accommodate you here.

For Example: Wanted: Wanderer or DKW motorcycle of motorbike pre 1950 walter@audiclubfl.org
