I recently upgraded my 2007 A6 to a 2014 3.0. I have a factory set of roof racks I used just a few time to carry my kayak. They are like new and attach solidly to the roof using out-of-sight holes…Continue

Fellow ACNA and ACFL Members
Great news, we just may be visiting one of Audi's US ports of entry, Jacksonville in the near future. Some may remember our frustration regarding attempts to gain access to the facility at Brunswick a few years back, well JaxPort is actually very friendly and conducts tours of their facilities. Plans are presently a foot for a visit to their operation this fall. We are working with port officials to see if a tour of their facility can be schedule. It is here that our Audis destined for delivery to dealerships in Florida and Georgia debark from ocean going vessels upon completing their Atlantic voyages starting in Emden. As soon as a date, time, and details are finalized, ACNA/ACFL members will be the first to know. Tour participants will be limited to 23 and be on a first registered first served. We will wait list those who register after we reach the limit. I know some of us have visited the manufacturing plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, a few may have stood on the bridge over looking the rail marshaling yards at Ingolstadt and watched train load after train load of cocoon wrapped Audis headed to Emden. I doubt there have been any that have visited the port of Emden and I know that this will be a first for visiting the facility at Jacksonville.
At present we are looking at a Friday afternoon in September or November to allow folks from across the state time to arrive, rest a bit then take the tour. The port is trying to check shipping schedules to see if there my be a vessel loaded with Audis in port, now that would be a little icing on the cake. In my phone discussion with a representative from the port, I mentioned that I realized that it would be nice but not a deal breaker, we really wanted to see the process. Following the tour, we will caravan to a place for supper so stay tuned for this once in a life time opportunity. If there is overwhelming response, perhaps we can schedule a rerun in the spring.
In the latest club news, Walter Moore has decided to step down from the BoD. We thank him for his service to the board, help at Sebring, maintaining our web site and the organization and running of a couple of fun drives. Andreas Baensch who many will remember was one of our founding Board members is vacationing with his family from Ingolstadt in Florida and of course enjoying our hot weather. In addition, we now have a new Andreas, Andreas Regalado who is the region lead for the Gold Coast and has now joined the Board of Directors. He will also be assuming many of the responsibilities that Walter had been involved in and we welcome him aboard.

Mark December 11-13, if you want to experience a first class High Performance Driving Experience, at the world famous Daytona International Speedway and make sure you contact Craig at craigliechty@hotmail.com. for full details. If you have never tracked your Audi and or would like some instruction that is available. What a venue to receive instruction, or you just want to take a hot lap, if you are a club member or not, that is an option just contact Craig for all of the details or just come and watch. A few years back I had a couple of hot laps in a 302 Boss Mustang and a 944 Porsche, wow. One of our former BoD members tracked his RS4 and RS6 and numerous members have gone and watched. It is a heck of a lot of fun and the paddock is always open. Cheers and Safe Motoring
